Tired of broken hearts, she placed her real heart in a cage and in its place, she wore a perfectly glittered heart on the front of her shirt. That's the one she would show the world. She secured her caged heart on her head with a red ribbon. It was heavy. But she wanted to keep it close just in case she met someone she could trust with whom she could share her real heart - the heart that kept her alive and steered her course.
